1000000% worth the visit!
Really great bargains. Lots of great frozen stuff and pantry basics. Great quality brands. I’m so glad this place is close by to where I live. During high costs of living, Savemore is really a true gem. Thank you to the staff and the owners for running and managing such a gem of a place. I’ve told my friends 😀
The groceries here are super cheap it’s really good. We walked out with a shopping trolley of stuff once and it cost just over $20. They still advertise items that aren’t in stock and some pictures are completely different from the actual product. And sometimes they shut 10-15 minutes earlier than what’s signed. Everyone’s really friendly and polite here.
It’s a big clearance centre and the amount is such as Costco. They sell lots of biscuits, candies or snacks. Some of products are nearly expired date but looks okay. Welcome to have a walk if you don’t mind that.
It’s now 9.13am and car park is full. Shutter is down behind glass doors and no one is here to open up. Meant to open at 9.00am. Not good for a business. 2 big delivery trucks are also here.

Review Update 29/4/2021
There aren't many overrun items on sale, especially biscuits, chips and chocolate. Also missing are the cheeses.
In fact, many vertical refrigerating units are gone.

OK if you are prepared to buy items past used by or best used before dates. It depends on what surpluses the supermarket is able to source from. During festive seasons, there are plenty of relevant items at discounted prices on sale.
Just be careful.with juices which past best used date. Fermentation may happen and excessive gas produced inside the bottle.
Have not been here for a couple of years, used to be a regular, thinking of coming by again, but one thing which used to drive me NUTS was the radio up on the wall blaring offensive hip-hop music TT or FOX..in case they have not noticed, they are working in a grocery-shop not a nightclub, most of the store customers are not teenagers. Some of the staff might be, but not many patrons are. Actually mentioned it to male staff-member , don't know his name but he's been there for years, got a stupid impertinent -answer
that
(he) could not control what music the station played.
Apparently the radio does not have a tuning dial, a volume switch, or an off/on switch. It's not even canned elvator music it's a 2-bit portable radio plugged in to a power-point, but apparently it defies all attempts by staff to control it.
Always get a bargain ,have many things others don't have ,owner always seems to keep good amount of stock, pricing very clear ,happy to shop there on a regular basis ,the staff are also very helpful ,
Always lots of people shopping there daily ,
Great bargains and discount clearance shop for mostly food and grocery items in the south east of Melbourne on Princes Hwy. It's approximately a 40 min drive from Melbourne CBD, and plenty of parking around the side. Lots of good deals on chocolates (cadbury, kinder), cheese, freezer items and ready microwave meals, ice cream, gum, breakfast cereals, muesli bars, chips, protein drinks, plus many other varieties of stuff.
Stock rotates weekly so sometimes of they've run out, they've run out, and there will be something new in its place. Most items are either close to the best before date, or just after.
